Enhanced AccuTouch Touchscreen Offers Ten-Fold Increase in Scratch Resistance, Improved Visual Resolution
For Release

Fremont, Calif.
Elo TouchSystems, the world leader in touch technology, announces an enhanced AccuTouch® touchscreen that offers a ten-fold increase in fingernail scratch resistance, which accounts for most touchscreen wear. Designed for heavy use environments—restaurants, retail facilities, and in process control and other manufacturing applications—the enhanced touchscreens provide extra protection to touch systems while improving visual resolution.
To achieve the increase in hardness, the enhanced AccuTouch touchscreen is treated with an improved coating. Like all AccuTouch five-wire-resistive touchscreens, the new model is tested to more than 35 million touches using a finger-type stylus.
A new anti-glare surface treatment improves performance in ambient light, providing excellent clarity with minimal distortion. The ratio of visual resolution has been upgraded from 2:1 to 6:1, based on the United States Air Force resolution chart.
The AccuTouch enhanced touchscreen is available in 13-inch and 19-inch sizes. Pricing begins at $645 for a 13-inch touchscreen with PC-Bus controller. Volume discounts are available.
